Butter pecan cake




*Ingredients

°1 pack.  Butter Pecan Cake Blend
°1 t.  water
°1/3 t. butter or margarine, soft
°3 egg
°1/2 t. maple syrup or maple flavor syrup
°1/2 t. (125 mL) chopped pecans, toasted
°1 tub  Betty Crocker* whip Cream Cheese
°Roast pecans, chopped (as garnish)

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease  12-cup (3 L) fluted tube pan with cook spray.

In  bowl, beat all cake ingredients with  electric mixer 30 sec on low speed. Continue beat for 2 min at medium speed. Pour to mould.

Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes; remove from pan and place on wire rack. Let cool completely, about 2 hours.

Pour the frosting into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat uncovered on medium power for 10 to 15 seconds.

Spread the frosting over the top of the cake, letting it run down the sides. Garnish with toasted pecans, if desired. Store lightly covered.
